Former Premier League & Super Eagles forward Finidi George escapes coronavirus scare after a medical report confirmed that he is free of the pandemic.
The 48-year-old made his debut for Nigeria in 1991, in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burkina Faso, providing three assists for Rashidi Yekini and scoring once in a 7–1 win.
Finidi is of the Super Eagles’ greatest ever players and arguably the best right-winger in history the 1995 Champions winner took to one of his social media accounts to express his fear and anxiety as he prepared to take coronavirus test.
“My people, I just got to the hospital to run a coronavirus test. Please wish me well. Am f******g scared!”
Thanks for the support and don’t be afraid to run a test if you’re having strange symptoms,” he wrote.
Finidi has 62 times and six goals where he won Africa Cup of Nations and featured in the two FIFA World Cup.
