Barcelona want Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali dubbed the new Andrea Pirlo to replace Sergio Busquets, according to report.
Barcelona is working tirelessly for a team with their old guards and they have replaced many players in the squad ranging from Carles Puyol to Xavi Hernandez to Andreas Iniesta and they are now keen on signing a replacement for ageing Sergio Busquets.
The 31-year- old midfielder has shown signs of slowing down and need to be rest in some games but the point is no natural holding midfielder to help the team win balls and duel from the attacking opponents which leave the midfield porous most times.
Busquets remains an important part of the first team at Camp Nou, making 32 appearances across all competitions this season, but reports suggest that Quique Setien is looking ahead to the future.
Barcelona and host of top European clubs have been credited with the signing of Tonali who carries a price tag of €25m (£22.7m).
The 19-year-old has made 24 appearances for Brescia this season, with his form for the Serie A strugglers earning him international recognition from Italy.
Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Juventus are all linked with a move for the midfielder who has similar technicality like former Italian midfielder Pirlo.
