With the outbreak of coronavirus that has scuppered major economic actives across the world, football is not an exception as the majority of countries have stopped footballing activities for the sake of humanity.

UEFA has suspended the Champions League and Europa League and some of the elite league including the La Liga, Premier League, Series A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 have all suspended all their league in a bid to minimise the spread of the virus.

UEFA is yet to decide when the fixtures will be played, but several leagues across Europe, including the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, have all postponed their domestic fixtures until April at the earliest.

According to the Daily Telegraph, UEFA is now seriously discussing whether it would be possible to play the semi-finals and the final over a four-day window in Istanbul.

The report claims that the proposal would also apply to the Europa League, with the final due to be held in Gdansk, Poland.

Meetings have been held in this regard and various proposals have been discussed and the outcome will be communicated soon.
