Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is out to sign Chelsea star Billy Gilmour after the midfielder put up another brilliant show in the FA Cup win against Liverpool during the midweek.
The 18-year-old put up a brilliant show in the FA Cup clash against Liverpool and with such performance, Guardiola was attracted and he has instructed the Manchester City board to sign him for the future.
Gilmour joined Chelsea in 2017 from Rangers in an initial development fee in the region of £500,000 and he has developed from academy player to fringe player of the first team and in years he could command a starring role in any of the top teams in Premier League.
Manchester City is not the only top team interested in the services of Gilmour, the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona has also inquired about the sensational midfielder in the past.
Guardiola is now prepared to lead the race to sign the young talent as he aims for a summer rebuild of his team at the Etihad Stadium.
The Spanish manager wants Gilmour as soon as possible and he is prepared to launch a bid this summer after the performance of the young lad caught his eyes on Tuesday.
